I want to enjoy my old rimworld again but i can not stand this stutter. ![]() Specs i7-8700k and a nvdia 1060 first i thought my cpu crapped itself and testet it on another machine with identical specs, same results. I even see up to date let's plays with stutters and these guys like they dont recognize it. I don't understand how people are able to play these days. I reverted to b18 and loaded some b18 mods, no stuttering <3ĭon't get me wrong but something must happen. Guess what the more mods, the more insane the stutter. If i load 2 mods - mod manager and combat extended the frametime spike at 3x speed occur more frequent and it is also visible to the human eye as a micro stutter. I used fps monitor to visualize frametime spikes and even in an unmodded vanilla new game i get them on 3x speed like every 40 seconds? Vanilla expanded without animals seems to be the sweet spot for me before the stutter becomes obvious.I recently returned from a rimworld break since spring 18.īack then i used like 150 mods and had no stuttering. (At least if your hardware isn't on the high-end spectrum) If you start a new colony with no mods, use debug to advance time by a season and hold down middle mouse and go nuts with the camera you will still barely notice the stutter. Mods only expedite the problem as to making the stutter become more noticeable. disabling the storyteller seems to "fix" itĪs far as I can tell this seems to be a vanilla bug.seems to get worse the more active quests you have (not 100% sure).doesn't happen if you have only a caravan and no colony.still happening if you caravan to a new tile and abandon the old. ![]()
